Small beginnings. A lasting love of home.
At Duvenci Interiors, we believe a home should feel like it belongs to you. It should reflect your personality, make room for your everyday routines and bring you pleasure in the details.
Based in Bloemfontein, our studio builds on a heritage of custom-made curtains and soft furnishings that began in the 1990s. Today, that knowledge of fabric, texture and craftsmanship informs our approach to the whole interior—from the way a room flows to the pieces and finishes that make it feel complete.
Meet Hettie Bester
Hettie has led Duvenci Interiors since 2015, bringing a love of people and a considered eye to each project. Her approach begins with listening: understanding how clients live, what they value and how they want to feel in their space.
Her work brings together natural materials, warm woods, layered textiles and thoughtful colour. Whether a project calls for quiet simplicity or a richer, more expressive interior, comfort and character remain at its heart.
Working closely with clients, craftspeople and fellow design professionals, Hettie guides ideas into spaces that feel personal and welcoming. Each decision contributes to a home that is as enjoyable to live in as it is to look at.
Meet Carla Garzouzie
Carla has been a valued part of the Duvenci Interiors team since 2011, bringing years of experience, dedication and a wonderfully practical approach to design.
As a mom of twins, Carla understands that a beautiful home also needs to work for the people who live in it. She has a natural appreciation for comfortable, practical and well-lived-in spaces, where thoughtful design ideas make everyday life easier without compromising on style.
Family is an important part of Carla’s life, and she loves spending time with the family. It is this love of family and togetherness that inspires her approach to interiors. She believes a home should be more than simply beautiful — it should be a place where life happens, where family feels at ease, and where friends naturally come together.
For Carla, good design is about creating spaces that feel welcoming, functional and personal — homes that are designed not only to be admired, but truly lived in.
